Avid presented a new user interface for Media Composer during a customer event in Los Angeles. You can view the video below. The new interface looks a little bit like a mix of Autodesk Smoke, Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro 7 put into one. The company also unvealed a plan for the future - that includes a 64-bit architecture, 4K, DNxHD in 4:4:4 colour space, increased support for colour correction within the editing system, and of course a prototype of a new user interface.
