Among the new products is the Baselight ONE grading system, a diskless, 4U tower system with all Baselight creative tools plus a 2TB solid-state internal cache that can increase the processing performance. Slate is a new compact grading control panel designed for use with Baselight and Baselight Editions. It is based on Filmlight´s full Blackboard 2 panel, but in a smaller size and at a lower price.

FilmLight Releases Baselight for Avid:

FilmLight announces the release of the latest product in its Baselight Editions line, Baselight for Avid (Mac). This colour grading toolset, developed in association with Avid, is available within Avid Media Composer or Symphony.
A built-in GPU renderer provides real-time performance. Colour decisions made in Baselight for Avid can be exchanged with full Baselight systems, and vice versa, achieving a seamless workflow between editorial and colour grading operations.

FilmLight to introduce FLIP at NAB:
At NAB 2012, FilmLight will introduce FLIP – a new, real-time image processing system that lets the creative production team design looks in pre-production and apply and refine them on set. Employing a Baselight GPU renderer with Truelight Colour Management, FLIP can create and store an unlimited number of pre-set looks and spatial filters which can then be applied and refined in real time on set. Directors and cinematographers will be able to set exactly the look they want before shooting begins, refine it on set and save the grade so that it can be applied to dailies and other downstream processes.
