The H.265 standard High Efficiency Video Coding HEVC or MPEG-H Part 2 is the follow up to H.264/MPEG-4 Part 10 or AVC Advanced Video Coding standard for video compression. The new H.265 spec is being drafted by the Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding and is expected to be standardized early in 2013.
