ADOBE HAVE DONE IT !!!! REAL TIME R3D editing & grading on a LAPTOP!:
... I got up to 12 Layers of 5k on top of each other, with 5x 5d shots and 4x Alexa PRO RES files also in the sequence......all on the same time line... I had to blow up the Alexa and Canon files 6x in size or other wise they were only small images sitting on top of a massive 5k file... I had 2 adjustments layers with effects added... A blur, Grain, A distort, Curves, 3 way colour corrector and a simple key... All still running in real time... running smooth.
